A wave of indignation is sweeping Sheridan over revelations made concerning the surrender by the city of a 10-year “free” franchise to an unknown, out-of-town concern for the use of Sheridan’s paved streets to display advertising.

Registration booths will be open until 9 o’clock tonight for people to enroll as voters for the fall election next month.

A man was given a 10-days’ job on the streets in police court this morning for the alleged use of indiscreet language on the street without regard to the presence of ladies.
