Advertising lights on posts, set up as a test on Main Street last night, proved a miserable failure as many motorists avoided entering or crossing the street, thinking the glaring red lights on the obstructions indicated the street was blocked to traffic.

Tony Moskal, an Austrian miner employed at the Monarch mine, met death from a fall of coal while at work in the mine yesterday.

Up to noon today, seven fatalities had been confirmed in and near Sheridan from the after-effects of Spanish influenza. Mr. Clarence Smith, who has been ill with the influenza, is not dead as has been circulated, but is improving as well as can be expected.
