The Sheridan Sugar factory, which began its fall campaign last Sunday, is obliged to temporarily close down today because of a lack of help. The influenza, together with the general shortage of labor, has crippled the factory for the time being.
Only one death due to influenza was reported in Sheridan during the 24 hours ending at noon today, and no deaths due directly to the malady were reported in the county outside the city.
Registration of voters in Sheridan county closed last night, but returns had not been received at the clerk’s office from all of the precincts at noon today.
Three young men from Sheridan county have been inducted into the marine corps during the past week.
