County Health Officer Hurd has received a letter from the state board of health saying that many inquiries are being made by teachers regarding the probable date of reopening schools. The letter advised her that indications do not point to an early reopening.
Miss Maurine Tschirgi, one of those who laid aside her political campaign to take up nursing for the Red Cross during the influenza epidemic, has contracted the disease and will be unable to vote or help in her campaign on Tuesday.
