Every man, woman and child in Sheridan county is asked to have ready a dollar this week for membership in the American Red Cross. This is Red Cross Christmas Roll Call Week, and universal membership is being sought.

In pursuance of a nationwide plan, James Rennie, in charge of the local federal employment office, has been directed to soon call a meeting of the Council of Defense, the Loyalty League, Red Cross and other organizations to work out a system to provide employment for soldiers returning from service in the army.

G.H. Robb, who has been serving as janitor of the city hall, has resigned his job.
