Sheridan county enthusiasts for good roads and elaborate highway improvement voted at a meeting last night to ask legislators in the coming session to amend the existing automobile tax law so that, instead of the present annual tax of $5 on each machine, the tax should be 1 cent a pound on the machine’s weight.
License to wed was issued at the county clerk’s office today to Henry Schalzer and Miss Susie Pierce, both of Sheridan.
Postmaster Canfield issued a call today for bids for the hauling of mail between the depot and the post office. Bids will be received until Jan. 10.
