F.C. Poll, a resident of Sheridan for 25 years and a member of the city council during several administrations, died at his home at 9:15 o’clock this morning after an illness of two weeks.

A Sheridan man was adjudged insane by the district court yesterday afternoon. He has been laboring under the delusion that some girl named May wanted to marry him. He was ordered sent to the state hospital for the insane at Evanston.

City firefighters responded to an alarm at 11 o’clock this morning at the home of County Commissioner Evans at Gladstone and Coffeen Avenue. The cause was smoke issuing from a cesspool adjoining a coal house on the property.
