A Look Back in Time: April 29, 1919

Thirty-five thousand people witnessed the most spectacular flying exhibition ever staged in the middle west today. Nine airplanes driven by noted allied and American aces flew over the city dropping paper bombs and performing many of the wonderful stunts that the airmen employ in actual warfare.

The Flying Circus appeared today on the Brundage ranch southeast of the sugar factory instead of the fairgrounds. The latter field was found inadequate upon inspection this morning by the officers in charge of the train. The schedule of the flights and parade were the same.

Harrison Fulmer is in Sheridan from Wolf today, enjoying the celebration and seeing the flyers.
