Elimination of a bad stretch of road on the Jim Creek-Piney road has been assured through the granting of a right-of-way by three property owners on Lower Piney. Work will start on the new section of the road shortly.

The water line to Fort Mackenzie, which was destroyed by a washout some time ago, is to be repaired. The caretaker of the fort announced this morning that he is to have $100 for material and $1,000 for labor. The work will begin immediately.
Miss Gertrude Howes entertained a number of friends at a delightful informal party recently at her home on West Loucks street.
