A machine arrived today to register with a signal bell the time for wagers to start and stop at the races here next week. This is the only machine of this kind ever exhibited or used in the west.
The telegraphers’ strike hasn’t affected the Western Union station in Sheridan as seriously as in some places. Messages are coming through, although somewhat delayed.
An auction sale of automobiles will be held at the Riley Motor Company garage on June 21. Vehicles for sale include a Hupmobile Touring car in excellent condition, and a 1917 Buick Touring car in good condition.
