Hot weather records for the month of June were shattered this afternoon when temperatures at the Sheridan weather bureau reached a maximum temperature of 101 degrees. That’s two degrees above the previous record of 99 set in June 1910.
J. Land was slightly injured and A.L. Smith more seriously hurt this morning when their automobile turned turtle about a mile south of Horton’s ranch. Both men were pinned beneath the vehicle for nearly three hours before help came.
A Wyoming horse, Sir Dyke, owned by Charley Irwin of Cheyenne, took the opening race of the season at the Sheridan county fairgrounds yesterday.
