An intruder gained entrance to the home of O.W. Bullard, 213 Loucks street, at about half past 1 o’clock this morning and entered a sleeping chamber occupied by Mr. Bullard’s daughter and a girl guest. The intruder attempted to grasp the arm of one of the girls, but she waked, and the intruder fled at her scream.

People in command of automobile conveyance began moving from Sheridan toward the experimental farm at an early hour this morning to participate in the annual farmers’ picnic there.

Postmaster Canfield has announced that proposals for conveying the mail between the depot and post office will be received at his office until 2 p.m. July 21.
