A Look Back in Time: Sept. 8, 1919

In a letter to W.D. Fisher, secretary of the Sheridan Commercial club, F.B. Connell, president of the Midland Club of Billings, gives the proposed Custer Battlefield Scenic Highway a wholehearted endorsement. Mr. Fisher inaugurated the movement for the highway.

Things have been humming along in Clearmont getting everything lined up for the coming “Clearmont Day” as planned some time ago. Among events planned are a cowboy horse race, steer bulldogging, a bucking contest, horseback potato race, baseball game and boys’ and girls’ foot races.

H.H. Luke of Dayton is a visitor in Sheridan today.
