A Look Back in Time: Oct. 20, 1919

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 20, 1919.

The Sheridan Cooperative Company, a new corporation, has purchased the L. & M. Basket Store. The store has been placed under the management of R.C. Cox.

About 30 men started this morning on a drive to raise $2,250, which is Sheridan county’s quota for the Roosevelt memorial.

Master Oscar Zorner invited 32 of his young friends to spend the yesterday afternoon at his home, at 558 N. Main street, in honor of his sixth birthday. It being a stormy day outdoors, games were played inside, and refreshments were served including a birthday cake with candles, ice cream and candy.

Miss Ruth Dahl has resigned from her position teaching at Taylor School.
