Spanish Influenza, Nov.26, 1918

June 15, 2020

With all physicians but one reporting, 10 cases of influenza were reported to County Health Officer Hurd yesterday, and two deaths during the 24 hours ending at noon today, Nov. 26. One death was in Sheridan, the other on Lower Tongue River.
The Red Cross headquarters in the federal building will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. in connection with emergency work yet to do with respect to the flu epidemic. It’s been stated that the strain upon the emergency hospital is abating and the number of patients perceptibly diminishing.
It’s generally believed in Sheridan that the recent snow and cold wave have buried the influenza.
