Dr. M. A. Newell of Sheridan was elected state commander of the American Legion this morning, during the closing hours of the state convention here.A 10-mile marathon horse race from Sheridan to Clearmont has been scheduled early in September for Clearmont day. Plans for the event were officially announced today by a delegation of Clearmont leaders.Miss Gretta Cooley of Sheridan became the bride of Mr. Victor W. Madsen of Lincoln, Nebraska, in a wedding at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at Sheridan’s Presbyterian church.
Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Hayes returned to Sheridan yesterday after spending a few delightful days at Story.
