The Sheridan firm of Burton and Sober have offered three prizes of $5 each for winners of poultry contests in the upcoming fair. Sheridan Commercial company will give $20 worth of merchandise to the person who takes first prize for the six best sugar beets, and $5 to the person having the two largest beets.The board of canvassers for the recent primary elections held in Sheridan county will meet at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning.A light Dodge truck hit the tongue of a two-horse wagon this morning on Gould street, just south of Grinnell. One of the horses hitched to the wagon was bowled over, and the truck was swung around and struck a Ford parked on Gould street.
