Sheridan observed its first municipal Christmas as a community tonight. At 8:30 o’clock, the lights were connected to the huge spruce tree brought from the Big Horns to the platform on Grinnell street just east of Main street. The First Presbyterian Sunday school presented its Christmas program at 7 o’clock tonight. The county clerk’s office reported today there has been no unusual rush for Christmas marriage licenses. Barber shops in Sheridan will stay open until 10 o’clock tonight and on Dec. 31, and be closed on Christmas and New Year’s days.
