Winter Storm Watch Issued For Sheridan and Johnson Counties – Oct. 12-13, 2021

The white stuff is coming!

The National Weather Service in Billings, Montana has issued a winter storm watch for all of Sheridan County, including the Big Horn Mountains, from midnight Tuesday (October 12th), until 6pm Wednesday (October 13th).

Heavy wet snow is possible with total accumulations between 5-15 inches projected and winds could gust up to 35 miles per hour.

Also the National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a winter storm watch for all of Johnson County from midnight Tuesday, until noon Wednesday.

Heavy wet snow is possible with total accumulations of 3-6 inches projected for the lower elevations, and 12-18 inches projected in the higher elevations.

Winds could gust as high as 40 miles per hour.

Roads especially bridges and overpasses will likely be slick and hazardous, and visibility could be limited, making travel very difficult for motorists.
