Sheridan adds 53 cases over the weekend

Sheridan County has added 37 lab confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 3,758 lab confirmed cases in the county since the beginning of the pandemic. 

Sixteen probable cases have been added to the 1,089 probable cases since the pandemic began.

There are currently 209 active cases of COVID-19 in Sheridan County. Currently, there are 9 residents of Sheridan County hospitalized and battling the virus. There have been 43 deaths of Sheridan County residents since the pandemic began. 

According To COVID-19 Public Information Officer Jennifer Graves 58 residents have recovered since Friday.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital received the shipment of much needed Regeneron. The infusions have proven effective in reducing the need to hospitalize certain at-risk patients from the effects of COVID-19. Due to the high demand throughout the nation the hospital is working with a limited supply, but are confident current supply chains will meet Sheridan’s needs. 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention list Sheridan County’s level of community transmission as HIGH.
