An arraignment hearing for 37-year-old Daniel Lindly was held Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. Lindly entered “not guilty” pleas to the charges of Strangulation of a Household Member and Domestic Battery. Lindly was arrested for the crimes on August 20 for allegedly choking the victim and biting the individual in the face and banging their head on the ground. District Court Judge John Fenn set a #3 stack two-day jury trial for February 28. The #3 stack means there are two other trials scheduled for the same date.
A pretrial conference will be held in District Court on February 3 at 10 am. Lindly’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. Strangulation of a Household Member is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. Misdemeanor Domestic Battery is punishable by up to 6-months in jail and a fine of up to $750.
