Sheridan County added 62 lab confirmed cases over the weekend

Over the weekend, Sheridan County added 62 lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 to the 3,914 lab confirmed cases in the county since the beginning of the pandemic. 

Twenty-six more probable cases have occurred bringing the number to 1,149 probable cases in the county since the beginning of the pandemic. 

There are currently 230 active cases in the Sheridan County community.  

According to COVID-19 Public Information Officer Jennifer Graves, 74 cases have recovered since Friday. 

Forty-five Sheridan County residents have lost their lives to the coronavirus and there are currently 16 hospitalized in Sheridan County battling the virus. 

Sheridan Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer Mike McCafferty told media outlets that the majority of patients and residents coming into the hospital are courteous and understand that with the existing situation operations may be hindered, transfers may take more time and staff are doing all they can to keep the level of care received at SMH at a high standard.

The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control list Sheridan County’s level of community transmission as HIGH.
