Buffalo’s acting police chief, Captain Garth Nicholas, recently gave the monthly October report to the city council, saying officers have been busy helping with community events.
Nicholas also said there were just over 1,000 incidents in the city and that dispatch had handled nearly 3,600 phone callsduring the month.
The ACO (animal control officer) responded to 36 calls in the city, but none in the county, and he has been splitting his time between that position and the dispatch center, according to Nicholas.
