A subdivision request for property off of East Ridge Road was an item of consideration by the Sheridan City Council Monday night.  Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

City Council Tables Freedom Ranch Subdivision

A public hearing was held for a resolution for the Freedom Ranch Subdivision prior to the Council’s consideration of the request to subdivide 72.9 acres into 20 lots and two conservation lots on property located at the northeast corner of Cedar Lane and Brundage Lane/US Highway 14 between Cedar Lane and East Ridge Road. Tom Balding, a nearby property owner, was one of two citizens who voiced their concerns with the subdivision.

Following the public hearing and subsequent consideration of the subdivision, the Council elected to table the resolution until their first meeting in January. The property lies outside the Sheridan City limits but within the one-mile requirement for City review. Once the Council acts on the subdivision request, it will come before the Sheridan County Commission for their consideration.
