Both of Wyoming’s US Senators are making sure their views regarding President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate are understood by the nation’s highest court.

Republican U.S. Senators John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis, have joined Republican Senator Mike Braun of Indiana, as well as 44 other Senators, and 136 Representatives, in filing an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The brief was filed to an upcoming case considering the Biden administration’s recent mandate requiring private employers with over 100 employees to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine or weekly testing.

The brief argues that Congress did not give the Occupational Safety and Health Administration the authority to impose a vaccine mandate and urges the Supreme Court to stay the mandate.

About 3 weeks ago, the 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio lifted the stay.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments on the case this coming Friday.

It is unknown if the Court will issue a ruling that same day or not.
