Applications for the 2022-23 Johnson County/City of Buffalo One Percent funds will be taken until 5pm on Friday, February 18, and can be turned in to either the Johnson County Commissioner’s Office, or Buffalo City Hall.
The 1% Optional Sales Tax Committee will review the applications and make recommendations to the county commissioners and city council for funding.
Entities such as the YMCA, animal shelter, and governmental departments can apply for funding.
The city council and the county commission will take the committee’s recommendations and make final decisions later this spring.
Last year the county allocated $100,000 and the city allocated $150,000 in funding.
