City Allocates $165K for One-Percent Distribution

Buffalo’s City Council, during their regular meeting Tuesday, voted to set this year’s annual allocation to the One-Percent Committee which is down from last year’s $175,000 allocation, according to Mayor Shane Schrader.

Johnson County and the City of Buffalowill both allocate one-percent funds this spring to be distributed through the One-Percent Committee, to be distributed to

outside organizations such as the St. Francis Animal Shelter, Buffalo Trails Board, Johnson County YMCA, and the Chamber of Commerce.

The application deadline for this year is Friday, February 18, and they need to be submitted to either the County Commissioners’ office or Buffalo City Hall before 5pm.
