The Johnson County Healthcare Center has been named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital for 2022 by the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
According to a release from the JCHC, the annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals, based on results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX.
JCHC CEO Luke Senden said, “Being recognized as one of the top 100 critical access is a huge honor for Johnson County Healthcare Center. This award looks at quality, outcomes, patient safety and finances and is an achievement that takes an entire organization to accomplish. I could not be prouder of how our team has handled the adversity the healthcare industry has faced over the last two years. This award highlights the resilience and dedication of our staff, through difficult and uncertain times.”
Over the course of the last 12 years, the INDEX has established itself as the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Leveraging publicly available data, the INDEX is trusted by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health across the country to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
