Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The Sheridan high school basketball teams split games with the Gillette schools they both beat Campbell county Friday and dropped games at Thunder Basin Saturday.

The Lady Broncs had a shot to knock off Thunder Saturday but came up short 55-51 here’s Head coach Ryan Sullivan.

They host Kelly Walsh to close out the regular season Friday night they beat Kelly in their first meeting this year and Sullivan says they expect another good game with the Trojans.

Broncs Head coach Jeff Martini says the Broncs really took one on the chin at Thunder Saturday.

Kelly pounded the Broncs in their first meeting and Martini says the schedule only gets tougher now.

Game times Friday night are 5:30 and 7:00 and you can hear the action live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

BH HOOPS – The Big Horn basketball teams will closed out the regular season with road games at Wright the Rams won the Lady Rams lost they now will play at their regional tournament hosted by Burns and Pine Bluffs the Rams play Glenrock the Lady Rams play Moorcroft.

TR HOOPS – The Tongue River basketball teams closed out the regular season with road games at Moorcroft the boys won the girls lost now it’s onto regionals the Eagles will play Moorcroft again Thursday while the Lady Eagles open with Pine Bluffs or Glenrock.

AC HOOPS – The Arvada / Clearmont teams lost all four games against Kaycee and Midwest, the Panthers season is over while the girls will open their regional tournament in Torrington Thursday against Lingle / Fort Laramie.

COWBOY HOOPS – The Wyoming Cowboys beat the Air Force Academy Saturday they play at CSU Wednesday night tip off at 7:00 on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

SWIMMING – The Bronc swimmers finished 4th at the Wyoming state swimming and diving championships full results can be seen on the sports page at sheridanmedia.com we will have a full recap on the air tomorrow with Head coach Brent Moore.

BRONC WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers were 2nd behind Thunder Basin in their regional tournament Saturday, Sheridan Media’s Kevin Kolie has the wrap up.

INDOOR TRACK – The Sheridan high school indoor track teams competed at a meet at Natrona county Friday full results can be seen below on the sports page.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks dropped two in Bozeman, Montana losing 9-2 and 5-4 this week the Hawks are back on the home ice hosting the Butte Cobras Friday and Saturday night.
