March 9, 2022

The Sheridan County Commission has ratified and amendment to the Brooks Street Greenspace Project’s Study and Design Phase.

The amendment corrects an accounting error on the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s end for their accountants and the Federal Grant award, according to County Engineer Ken Muller.

In an email to Sheridan Media, Muller explained that WYDOT had the full amount from the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant funds awarded to the County in Planning funds.

Sheridan County had originally applied for TAP Grant funds for Planning and Design, so the amendment corrected the error.

In the previously awarded $100,000 grant $52,000 has been earmarked for planning and $48,000 earmarked for design.

Muller said WYDOT and the federal government needed the change to track the funding properly.
