A timeline has been established for awarding the retail liquor license the City of Sheridan received due to a population increase that was reported in the 2020 Census. An addendum to the original resolution the Council adopted last November that outlined the process and procedure for awarding the license was approved by a 5 to 2 vote by the Council Monday night. The timeline outlined in the addendum states that each of the 11 applicants may supplement their application to meet the nine parameters that the liquor license committee will use to score the applicants. City Attorney Brendon Kerns said the updated applications must be submitted by the end of the business day on April 8.

The committee will score the applications and present the top six at the Council’s study session on April 11. The lottery for the top six will be held at the Council’s regularly scheduled business meeting on April 18.
