Johnson County’s Commissioners have rescinded COVID-19 restrictions that have been in place since 2020 by passing a resolution during their recent meeting.
In response to Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon’s lifting of all COVID restrictions statewide earlier this month, the commission followed suit by ending restrictions at the county level.
The county resolution passed in 2020 essentially allowed the public to enter most county-owned facilities but placed some limitations on access.
The resolution was put in place to allow county government to continue to provide services to the public while keeping public interaction to a minimum during the pandemic, to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and to counter the possibility of closing down entirely due to infected staff.
