An Application for Shoreline Improvement or Use at Lake DeSmet has been reviewed and approved by the Johnson County Commission.
Cheryl Benner, with the Lake DeSmet Operations Office, brought the proposal before the commissioners during recent meeting and explained why there was a need for it.
Benner said the agreement with fees would apply to applications for irrigation pumps, which would be metered for water use; for boat docks and other permanent or semi-permanent items; and landscaping.
Simpler requests such as trimming trees and spraying of weeds would not require fees.
No comment was offered during the public comment period, and the commission approved the Lake DeSmet Application for Shoreline Improvement or Use.
