Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

SOCCER – The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams were able to play this past weekend when the rest of our sports teams had competition called off.

The Lady Broncs played Laramie Friday but their game with Cheyenne South was canceled Saturday and will be made up later.

They beat Laramie Friday 2-0 and Head coach Kevin Rizer says the victory was one the Lady Broncs needed.

Now their schedule flips with the rest of the season on the road and Rizer says every game is really big until the end of the regular season.

The Broncs lost at Laramie 2-0 then came back Saturday and whipped Cheyenne south 6-0.

This week the Broncs host Cheyenne Central and East Friday and Saturday while the Lady Broncs play in Cheyenne.

TRACK AND FIELD – Tomorrow Sheridan high school will host the annual the Gary Benson Border War meet with the big schools from Billings the Broncs and Lady Broncs will be joined by Cody, both schools from Gillette and Casper, events get underway at 1:00.

GOLF – The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers played in Buffalo Friday the highlight of the day was the Lady Broncs Katie Jorgensen was the girls Medalist.

This week the Broncs and Lady Broncs play Friday in Gillette.

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers are scheduled to open their season Sunday with a double header with the Bozeman, Montana at Thorne – Rider stadium the first game is scheduled to get underway at 11:00 am.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies beat Detroit 6-2 Sunday today they open a four game series at Philadelphia game one starts at 4:45 you can hear Rockies baseball this season on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
