Buffalo’s City Council is addressing short-term vacation rental properties in a proposed ordinance that has been forwarded by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Essentially, the ordinance is specifically targeting what are typically called Airbnb-style rentals within the city limits.
City Building Inspector Terry Asay gave more details on why the ordinance is being proposed.
The ordinance is similar to what other communities across the country are doing, according to Asay.
The permits to operate these types of vacation properties can be revoked for various violations.
The council voted to approve Ordinance No. 1409 on first reading.
