Cowpuncher: Western Artist Jesse Winingar at the Jim Gatchell Museum

The Jim Gatchell Museum in Buffalo is displaying a collection of local western artist Jesse Winingar. 

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Jim Gatchell Museum Director Sylvia Bruner told listeners a little about this talented but little known local artist.

According to Bruner, the Jim Gatchell Museum possesses a few pen and ink sketches created by Winingar that may have been commissioned for the museum, although finding confirmation of the commissions has proven difficult for researchers.

The art of Wininger will be on display as part of a temporary exhibit, Cowpuncher: Western Artist Jesse Winingar, at the museum until 2024.
