ALL STATE TRACK AND FIELD HONORS – Sheridan county was well represented at the state track meet with top five team finishes from each team including state titles for the Sheridan Broncs and both teams from Tongue River.
The Big Horn Rams were 2nd behind TR, the Lady Rams were 5th the Lady Broncs were 4th.
39 Sheridan county high school track athletes earned individual all state honors after last week’s meet.
TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers are 14-4 they will play five games in three days beginning Friday evening at the annual Memorial day weekend tournament hosted in Gillette they will open against the host team.
The Troopers Next home games will be Sunday June 5th when host a double header with Casper.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies won 2-1 at Pittsburgh Tuesday, they go again today at 10:35 to wrap up that series, you can hear the Rockies this season on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
JUNE SPORTING EVENTS – Three events will high highlight our local sports schedule next month the first will be the annual Sheridan high school booster club 3 on 3 Hoop Jam basketball tournament that will be held next weekend.
The Wyoming / Montana high school all star basketball series will be played in Sheridan and in Billings June 17th and 18th.
The same weekend the annual Big Horn Mountain Trail run will be held runners pick up information packets Thursday June 16th, Friday the 17th at 9 am the 100 mile event starts with the 52 mile, 32 mile and 18 mile events starting on Saturday the 18th.
