New measures designed to increase security at the Johnson County Healthcare Center are in the works, and are expected to be implemented in the coming months, according to CEO Luke Senden.
Sende, in his recent report to the hospital board of trustees, said new security cameras with the ability to record happenings on the healthcare center campus will replace the passive cameras currently used.
Senden said there are incidents that happen in the building, and the increased security will go a long way towards protecting staff and patients in the buildings and surrounding area.
Also part of the upgrades will be badge access doors in the buildings as well for increased security.
Badge access is being installed in the current additions to the building, and the facility is looking at quotes for retrofitting the existing portions of the buildings.
