Upon completion of the beautification and improvement project on 5th Street and North Sheridan Avenue, the City of Sheridan will take control of 5th Street from the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
The City of Sheridan will be making safety, visualization, and landscaping enhancements to the East 5th Street Corridor between Broadway Street and the I-90 Interchange.
According to Sheridan Public Works Director Hanns Mercer, the goal of this project is to improve pedestrian safety and mobility through the corridor while creating a welcoming environment.
Mercer said improvements will include new sidewalk, decorative lighting, trees, and landscaping that coincides with the city’s long term plans.
