Buffalo Council OKs Chamber Requests for F&R Parade

The Buffalo City Council has approved a street closure and open container request from the chamber of commerce for their annual Johnson County Fair & Rodeo Parade in August.

Chamber board member Jennifer Romanoski made the request of the council, asking for the closure of Main Street from Cotant Family Dentistry in the south to First Interstate Bank in the north from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6.

She also requested an open container permit from the Moose Lodge to Hogerson Street from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. the same day.

Romanoski gave some details about this year’s parade.

Romanoski said the chamber is expecting anywhere from 60 to 70 entries this year because it is an election year.
