Sheridan County OKs Numerous Requests from Airport Manager

Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered and approved requests from Airport Manager John Stopka during their last regular meeting.

The first was an award for the contract on the ARFF Testing System project to NoFoam Systems in the amount of just under $18,000.

Next was an award of conract to acquire an SRE Snow Truck/Plow to Jack’s Truck Center-WY in the amount of nearly $306,000.

The airport has the PAPI/REIL upgrade project, which is Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPI) and Runway End Indentifier Lights (REIL).

Stopka gave more details on the project.

The project’s schedule 1 in the amount of just under $163,000 and Schedule 2 in the amount of nearly $53,500 were both awarded to to Scott Brothers, Inc.

The Guaranteed Maximum Price for the expansion of the terminal building baggage project was awarded to Dick Anderson Construction for $3.44 million, minus the baggage handling syetem.

The commission approved a lease agreement with ROVAR, LLC d/b/a Avis Rent a Car and Budget Car Rentals for a temporary area in the terminal while construction is happening there.

Also approved was a lease agreement with Sky West Airlines, Inc. to relocate the ticket counter and flight check-in areas in the terminal during construction.
