A night to remember at the Kendrick Mansion

July 13, 2022

Built in the Flemish Revival style, the 13,748 square foot mansion known as Trail End State Park provides an insight into life during the period 1913 to 1933, as seen through the eyes of the John B. Kendrick family who built the mansion.

Throughout the year events take place at the mansion. Including a vintage car show and Murder at the Mansion – a “who done it” party where guests have to solve a mystery while performing as a guest at the mansion– a Christmas celebration and more. Each event draws visitors from Sheridan and afar to participate and keep the mansion a vibrant community asset.

To show appreciation to the Sheridan public for their support, Trail End opens the grounds and the Kendrick Mansion for every resident to enjoy during the Summer Evening at the Mansion.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Site Superintendent Sharie Shada told listeners what to expect at this year’s Summer Evening at the Mansion.

Refreshments will be available, but visitors are invited to bring their own picnic and drinks. The Summer Evening at the Mansion will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27.

The museum will be open during that time for self-guided tours at no charge, and badminton and croquet will be set up on the lawn for visitors to enjoy.
