Sheridan County’s Commissioners have awarded the contract for the Historic Courthouse and Jail Renovation project to Van Ewing Construction, Inc. of Gillette.
The renovation on this project will be solely on the exterior of the building, according to discussions.
County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller gave more details on the project and the agreement.
Obermueller explained that the county has applied for a $3 million loan through the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) for funding for the project.
The commission voted to award the contract to Van Ewing Construction for the bid price of $3,162,000.
