Updated Emergency Operations Plan may be adopted as soon as December

September 15, 2022

Sheridan County Emergency Management announced it was updating the Emergency Operations Plan in the Spring of 2022.

An EOP is used to organize local government, private sector, non-governmental organizations, and the community during disaster response.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Sheridan County Commissioners Christi Haswell and Nick Siddle said that Emergency Management Coordinator Jesse Ludikhuize and contracted company, Integrated Solutions Consulting, have been working to update the outdated plan.

This EOP facilitates Sheridan County’s response to major events like the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as more common incidents such as severe winter storms and wildfires, or even planned events that require resources and planning across the community such as the WYO Rodeo, according to Siddle.
