JCHC CEO Discusses Construction Project

Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Luke Senden, during their regular meeting, updated the hospital board on the current status of the capital construction project on the facility.

He said the project is moving along nicely, with work on the new inpatient area and the completion of the foundation of the new area in the clinic, in preparation for enclosing that section of the building.

He said it is impressive and exciting to see the facility transforming right before their eyes with the new spaces being constructed.

Senden talked about a minor issue that came up during the process.

Senden said they have received bids for retrofitting the emergency room, operating room, lab, radiology and clinic with a new nurse call system.

The existing system needs to remain operational until the new system is installed, according to Senden.
