During their last meeting the Johnson County School Board discussed and voted to accept policy revisions on first and second reading.
Discussed and approved on second reading was Policy File DLA, concerning Payday Schedules; and new Policy File IDA, concerning Temporary Virtual Education.
Superintendent Charles Auzqui talked about the new virtual education policy, explaining that the new policy is a requirement from the state.
Discussed and approved on first reading was policy File JFABB, Admission of Exchange Students; Policy File IJL, Library Materials Selection and Adoption; and Policy File IJLA, Procedure to Challenge Instructional/Library Materials.
Policy IJL was sent back to the Policy Committee for revision, and Policy IJLA was approved pending discussion with the district’s legal counsel.
