Johnson County OKs Budget Amendment

The Johnson County Commission, at their last meeting, voted to approve Resolution No. 694, an amendment for their current 2022-23 budget.

County Clerk Jackie Camino explained the need for the amendment saying the total amendment to the budget is $24,875.30; broken down at $14,722 for Fund 62, Joint Information Center Grant; $5,653.30 for the Soft Target Crowd Control Grant, and the remainder for the mentoring program.

County Attorney Tucker Ruby explained the mentoring grant funding further.

Ruby said they already have plans for where the money will go and what it will be used for and approved for, but they needed a line in the budget and a budget adjustment to do that.
