Ranchester Bridge crews return to work

January 10, 2023

News – Sheridan Media

Crews have returned to work on the bridge to Ranchester as of Jan. 10. The bridge was originally scheduled to be completed sometime before the end of 2022.

Work on the bridge was postponed on Dec. 20, due to extreme low temperatures. Due to weather and other delays, the completion of the bridge has pushed back to the beginning of the summer season.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Lieutenant Erik Jorgenson gave an update on the progress of the bridge during an appearance on Sheridan Meida’s Public Pulse program and told listeners in the area who may use the bridge often, he understands any frustration.

According to Senior Public Relations Specialist for the Wyoming Department of Transportation District 4, Laura Dalles, delays on the construction of the bridge include low temperatures as well as personnel issues.
