During their last regular meeting the Johnson County Commission, in addition to electing officers and making board assignments, accepted forms, approved depositories, and set mileage rates for the coming year.

The commission received and accepted pecuniary forms from the county clerk and deputy clerk; treasurer and deputy treasurer; clerk of district court and deputy clerk of court, and the three commissioners.

According to Google.com, pecuniary interests involve an actual or potential financial gain or loss, and the forms declare those possible conflicts of interest.

They also authorized Treasurer Carla Bishop to invest county funds as outlined in state statute.

The commissioners designated the depositories for the county as ANB Bank, First Northern Bank, Bank of Buffalo, and First Interstate Bank.

The Internal Revenue Service set the reimbursable mileage rate at 65.5 cents per mile, and the commission approved that rate for the county.
