A Billings man was arraigned in Fourth Judicial District Court Thursday on multiple charges. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Arraignment Hearing

Late last month, 37-year-old Dustin Hubert was arrested and charged with three crimes following a traffic stop in Sheridan County. Hubert, at an arraignment hearing Thursday in District Court, pleaded not guilty to the charges of possession of a controlled substance – oxycodone, driving under the influence of oxycodone and driving under suspension or with an expired license. The drug possession charge is being prosecuted as a felony because Hubert was in possession of an amount greater than three grams. District Court Judge Darci Phillips set a two-day, #4 stack jury trial for July 14 and scheduled a pretrial conference for June 29 at 10:30 am.

A request to modify Hubert’s bond to a lower amount was denied by the Court. Hubert is currently being held at the Sheridan County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. If convicted on all of the charges, Hubert faces up to eight years in prison and fines of more than $15,000.
